About

Welcome to MIT Women’s Rugby! We are a club sport at MIT open to all MIT affiliates (undergraduate & graduate students, postdocs, staff, alumni, and spouses) playing one of the best sports in the world, rugby.

Run, tackle, score tries, and then social with the other team afterwards. It’s a great way to have fun, meet people, and get some exercise!

We always need new players (no one’s too small to play!) and no previous rugby/sports experience is required. Most people who join don’t even know the rules when they start. We will teach you everything you need to know.

We play in the fall, spring and over IAP (our January term), but you’re welcome to only play one season. We hope to see you on the pitch!

MIT Women’s Rugby practices MWF 5-7 on Briggs Field E (near Simmons) and games are generally on Saturdays.  Practice schedule will change in the winter when we move indoors.

Updated schedule can be found here.

If you want to join the team or if you are from another team and want to schedule a game or joint practice, head on over to the contact page of our website!

  1. Hello I am Cecilia Rios, I am a sophomore at Lane Tech highschool in Chicago Illinois. I am on the rugby team and I was looking into your rugby program. It began to make me wonder if you had scholarships for rugby.
